The trunk does not allow the tailgate to be opened in cars such as VW Caddy, Mercedes Citan, VW Multivan, Mercedes Vito, etc.

Will my bike fit on the rack?
Wheelbase
Zasadniczo decydujący jest rozstaw osi (odległość between the axles) of the bike. The bike rack has a total width of 1.30 m. If its wheelbase is no shorter than 1.10 m and does not exceed the aforementioned 1.30 m, the bike will be safely placed on the rack platform.
By the way: Really VERY large bikes have a wheelbase of 1.25-1.27 m. We have never seen anything larger on the "normal market" at all our trade fairs.
The bike rack was developed especially for e-bikes. Due to, for example, the centrally mounted engine, special suspension or the location of the battery, the wheelbase of these bikes is often significantly larger than that of "normal" bikes. In the version for 2 bikes, we have therefore focused on e-bikes, i.e. a wheelbase from 1.10 m. A bike with a wheelbase of less than 1.10 m can of course still be transported using the 3rd extension. The extension rails are movable, so they can be individually adjusted to a smaller bike.
Length of tire strips (40 or 50 cm?)
Unfortunately, it is not possible to give a general answer to the question of which tire stripes are right for you. In combination, 3 factors play an important role here: wheelbase, wheel size and tire width. Depending on the combination, it is necessary to switch to long tire stripes (50 cm).
You may find yourself in one of the following combinations to make your decision a little easier. Basically, you can't go wrong by switching to long tire stripes!
Standard tire straps (40cm) worked with:
- E-mountain bike: 1.12cm wheelbase, 27.5" wheel size, 2.60" tire width
- City/trekking electric bike: 1.14m wheelbase, 28" wheel size, 1.75" tire width
Long tire straps (50 cm) have been replaced with:
- Mountain bike: wheelbase 1.18 m, wheel size 27.5", tire width 2.35"
- Mountain bike: wheelbase 1.24m, wheel size 27.5", tire width 2.35"
- Mountain bike: wheelbase 1.20m, wheel size 27.5", tire width 2.60"
In all 3 modified variants there was still more than enough tire tape, so even larger models are no problem.
Ratchet strap length to frame (35 or 50 cm?)
Please note that even in electric bikes with a battery Intube (integrated) usually there are small diameter frame elements to which you can attach your bike with our standard length (35 cm) ratchet strap. For example in the seatpost area.
Standard frame tape works up to a frame diameter of 80 mm. Additionally (80+ mm) must be converted to a long ratchet strap (50 cm).
